Abstract
Magnetization, magnetic susceptibility, electrical resistivity, and th ermal expansion measurements on SmPdln single crystals as well as spec ific heat experiments on polycrystalline samples are presented. These data show an anomaly at the transition temperature (T-c = 54 K). The e ffects of excited multiplet and anisotropic crystal field have been ob served.
