Abstract
A systematic study of the influence of interstitial hydrogen on the sp in reorientation transitions (SRT) in R(2)Fe(14)ZH(x) (R = Nd, Ho, Er, Tm; Z = B, C) is reported. The SRT temperatures, detected by measurin g the ac magnetic susceptibility, show a non-monotonic dependence on x . Variation of the crystal field parameters under hydrogenation is ded uced.
