Abstract
Nd-Fe-B permanent magnets have been manufactured by extrusion of gas a tomized powder of the nominal composition Nd16Fe78B6. The magnetic pro perties are found to be anisotropic. The energy product, intrinsic coe rcive field strength and the remanent flux density measured perpendicu lar to the extrusion direction are 90 kJ/m(3), 880 kA/m and 0.72 T res pectively.
