Zh. Cheng et al., EFFECT OF AL ON THE FORMATION AND MAGNETIC-PROPERTIES OF SM2FE17CX (X=0-2.5) PREPARED BY ARC-MELTING, Journal of magnetism and magnetic materials, 144, 1995, pp. 1075-1076
The structural and magnetic properties of arc-melted Sm2Fe13Al4Cx comp
ounds have been investigated. It was shown that the substitution of Al
can not only facilitate the formation of high-carbon concentration R(
2)Fe(17)C(x) compounds, but also increase their anisotropy fields. Sm-
2(Fe,Al)(17)C-x compounds with appropriate carbon concentration could
be used as a starting material for sintering permanent magnets.
