Abstract
Results of structure, susceptibility and specific heat studies of RCuA l and RNiAl compounds are presented. Most of the compounds with a part ially filled f-shell exhibit magnetic ordering at low temperatures. Th e ordering temperatures and paramagnetic Curie temperatures are roughl y proportional to de Gennes factor.
