Abstract
The temperature dependences of the thermopower of six REIn(3) compound s (RE = La, Pr, Gd, Dy, Er and Lu) were measured in the temperature ra nge up to 1000 K. The observed changes in the slopes of the temperatur e versus thermopower curves for all the investigated compounds are int erpreted as originating from a special shape of the density of states (DOS) near the Fermi energy, E(F).
