Abstract
We have recently introduced a two-band model to describe the new mater ials known as Kondo insulators. We have shown that these systems are c lose to a metal-insulator transition. We discuss the possibility of lo ng range magnetic order in the metallic phase precursor to the metal-i nsulator transition.
