Abstract
In reflectance magnetic circular dichroism spectra of RE(2)CuO(4) sing le crystals the characteristic features were revealed in 1.5-4.5 eV. T he band near 1.7 eV was inherent to each of the spectra, while UV band energies changed with RE ion and depended on temperature similarly to temperature behavior of magnetic susceptibility of corresponding crys tal.
