Abstract
A contribution to electrical resistivity and magnetoresistivity of Nd2 -xCexCuO4 due to the exchange interaction between the conduction elect rons and magnetic moments of Nd3+ ions has been calculated. The eigens tates of magnetic ions in the crystalline electric field of the compou nd have been taken from the neutron inelastic magnetic scattering expe riments. The calculated temperature dependence of electrical resistivi ty proved to be nonlinear. Magnetoresistivity is negative at low tempe ratures for both H parallel to c and H perpendicular to c.
