Abstract
Magnetization, de and ac magnetic susceptibility, electrical resistivi ty and magnetoresistivity measurements have been performed on a single crystal of U4O4Te3. This new compound orders ferro(ferri)magnetically at T-C = (80 +/- 2)K and probably undergoes a reorientational magneti c phase transition at T-1 = 23 K. U4O4Te3 shows a semimetallic charact er of its electrical conductivity.
