An unsteady MHD free convective heat and mass transfer flow with Hall
current of an electrically conducting incompressible viscous fluid thr
ough a porous medium along an infinite vertical porous plate is studie
d taking a constant heat flux at the plate. In the flow a uniform magn
etic field acts in a plane which makes an angle a with the plane trans
verse to the plate. A similarity parameter taken as a function of time
is introduced in the analysis. The suction velocity is then taken to
be inversely proportional to the above parameter. Similarity equations
are then derived and solved numerically by the method of superpositio
n. The numerical results are displayed graphically showing the effects
of various parameters entering into the problem. Finally, the local v
alues of the corresponding x and z components of the skin friction and
the Nusselt number are shown in tabular form.
