Abstract
Some problems connected with heat transfer transients can be solved by numerical integration of the system frequency response characteristic s. As an example, this method is applied to solve the dynamic response of an evaporator to a change of the rate of heat extraction. The meth od seems to be advantageous when simple linear problems are considered for which the transfer functions can be derived. The limitations of t he method are outlined.
