Abstract
A system for automatic acquisition of exposure parameters and radiatio n dose calculation in mammography is presented. Analysis of the parame ters together with information on image quality can be utilised in opt imisation of the radiographic procedure. Of special interest is the us e of the compression force which is a parameter inaccessible with stan dard quality control procedures. Its influence on radiation dose is di scussed.
