Abstract
The ideas, intention and development of a compound, multimaterial hard tissue phantom designed and adopted for the purpose of radiophysical optimisation research are described. Constituent elements of each mate rial and their fractions by weight are determined by several complemen tary laboratory methods. This allows a controlled and scientific appro ach in calculating the physical interaction coefficients between roent gen photons and the different hard tissues of the phantom.
