ANATOMY OF AN INSTITUTE

The Shock Trauma Institute at Loyola University Medical Center was est ablished in 1991 by the Stritch School of Medicine, Loyola University of Chicago. The philosophies, analyses, and environments that helped c reate the institute's organizational structure and success are the sub ject of this case study and are presented with a discussion of the mul tidisciplinary research institute in an academic environment.
