Abstract
British divers undertook no-stop decompression dives at altitudes of 1 5,700 and 16,000 ft (4,785 and 5,33 m) in the Everest region of the Ne pali Himalaya. They performed 23 dives on oxygen and two on nitrox (60 % N-2:50% O-2. The dives took place under ice in two lakes, Gokyo Tsho and Donag Tsho. The maximum depth achieved was 98 feet fresh water (2 9.32 msw), maximum duration was 39 min in water, 44 min on gas.
