Abstract
alpha-Organoseleno arsonium ylide 3 was synthesized for the first time by a phenylselenenylation-transylidation reaction. It has sufficient activity to carry out the Wittig-type reaction, affording a novel meth od for the stereoselective synthesis of (Z)-alpha-phenylseleno-alpha,b eta-unsaturated esters
