Advantages of heteronuclear two- and three-dimensional NMR experiments
in obtaining better dispersion of peaks in spectra of large protein m
olecules have been described. The basic experimental techniques have b
een qualitatively presented and their application to a protein of 160
amino acid residues has been described. Several residue-type specific
signals have been identified. The analysis of three-dimensional C-13 r
esolved H-1-H-1 TOCSY spectra for spin system identifications has been
described in some detail.
