T. Yamamoto et al., PREPARATION OF POLY(VINYL ACETATE) HAVING A DMSO-LIKE STRUCTURE, AND ITS USE IN ACCELERATING PENETRATION THROUGH PAPER, Reactive polymers, 24(3), 1995, pp. 145-150
Poly(vinyl acetate) (PVAc) has been transformed into a polymer having
the structure of PVAcSOMe via hydrolysis, 3-methylthiopropionylation a
nd oxidation. The obtained PVAcSOMe copolymers have been shown to have
the property of accelerating the penetration of triphenylphosphite th
rough parchment paper.
