Abstract
We describe the numerical method which we have developed to solve for the first time the fully nonlinear HVBK equations. These equations gen eralise Landau's two fluid model to rake into account the presence of quantised vol tices. We apply the method to investigate the flow patte rn of helium II between rotating concentric cylinders (Taylor vortex f low) at increasing Reynolds numbers. We compare the results against cl assical Taylor vortex flow.
