EXAFS data in the temperature range 18 to 120 K were analysed using th
eoretical phases and three asymmetric model radial distribution functi
ons: two Gaussian convolution models and a simple asymmetric Gaussian
model. The convolution models were unable to reproduce the experimenta
l phase shifts, whereas the latter gave good agreement. The results ar
e compared with those from cumulant analyses. Multiple scattering anal
yses for the 18 and 120 K data using this model are also presented.
