Abstract
3-Acetamido-4-nitrobenzyl acetate was prepared and its crystal structu re was determined X-ray diffraction methods. The crystals are triclini c, space group P (1) over bar, with a = 7.228(5), b = 8.148(5), c = 10 .462(7) Angstrom, alpha= 81.32(6), beta = 88.65(6), gamma = 70.58(5)de grees, V = 574.2(7) Angstrom(3). The acetamido group forms an intramol ecular N-H...O hydrogen bond with the nitro group.
