Abstract
Two new prenylated isoflavanones, erysenegalensein B [1] y-6,8-di-(gam ma,gamma-dimethylallyl)isoflavanone], and erysenegalensein C [2], [5,2 ',4'-trihydroxy-5' -methoxy-8-(gamma,gamma-dimethylallyl)-2 '',2 ''-di methylpyrano[5 '',6 '':6,7] isoflavanone], have been isolated and char acterized from the seem bark of the Cameroonian medicinal plant, Eryth rina senegalensis. The structures of the two compounds were determined by spectroscopic techniques.
