Abstract
Two new isocoumarins named xyridin A and B were isolated from the chlo roform extract of the flowering eads of Xyris indica. Their structures were established as -propyl-6,7-(methylenedioxy)-1H-2-benzopyran-1-on e and propyl)-6,7-(methylenedioxy)-1H-2-benzopyran-1-one by means of s pectroscopic analyses.
