Abstract
A kinetic study of the exchange reaction between UO(2)EDTA complex and Fe(III), at a constant ionic strength of 0.1, over the concentration range of 5x10(-3) - 1x10(-2) M of each reactant and pH 4.5 - 5.5 has b een carried out radiometrically. The rate of the exchange process can be expressed by the equation: R=k1[UO(2)EDTA][Fe] + k(2)[EDTA][H+]. 1. The activation parameters calculated were Delta H = 25.95 kJ mol(-1) and Delta S = 0.67 kJ mol(-1) K-1.
