End-groups of polymethylmethacrylate from screened anionic polymerisat ion, catalytic chain transfer polymerisation and group transfer polyme risation are determined by matrix-assisted laser desorption ionisation time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF-MS).
