Abstract
A facile synthetic method to obtain mono and difunctionalized disiloxa nes, which can be used as various monomers for speciality polymers is described. The ring-opening of cyclic siloxanes with functionalized or ganometallic reagents followed by quenching with a variety of silyl ch lorides gives the functionalized disiloxanes in good to excellent yiel ds.
