The pressure effect on the Curie temperature T-C and the thermal expan
sion for MnCoGe and MnCo0.8Ge are measured. The values of partial deri
vative T-C/partial derivative p are +3.9 K/kbar for MnCoGe and +1.2 K/
kbar for MnCo0.8Ge. For both compounds, negative exchange striction is
observed for the unit cell volume.
