The temperature and composition dependence of the magnetic anisotropy
have been measured in (Fe1-xCox)(3.34)Ge-2 compounds. The easy magneti
zation direction lies in the basal plane and the anisotropy field valu
e of Fe3.34Ge2 is 16 kOe at 293 K. The partial substitution of Fe by C
o gives rise to a decrease of T-c, M(s) and H-A.
