Abstract
The quadratic in magnetic field contribution to the magnetization has been observed in the two-sublattice tetragonal antiferromagnet CoF2 by SQUID measurements. The measured value of the C-xyz component of the second-order nonlinear susceptibility tenser is equal to 5.75 X 10(-9) emu cm(-3) Oe(-2) or 1.21 X 10(-7) emu mol(-1) Oe(-2) at 6 K.
