Abstract
Superweak ferromagnetism in transition metal compounds is characterise d by the combination of unusually large transition temperatures and sm all magnetic moments. Using a simple microscopic model it is argued th at superweak ferromagnetism is a more general phenomenon which charact erises the magnetic behaviour of transition metal compounds with the l ighter transition elements.
