Abstract
It is shown that random magnetoelastic interactions in zero-mean-magne tostrictive materials lead under certain conditions to the removal of degeneration and the repulsion of the dispersion curves of the coheren t elastic waves at the magnetoelastic crossing point. Limitations on m aterial parameters and magnetic field, which may allow to observe this effect, are derived.
