Abstract
The formations of spin glass and ferromagnetism in amorphous Fe-M (M = Zr, Y) alloys have been clarified on the basis of the finite-temperat ure theory of amorphous magnetic alloys: the spin glass is caused by t he nonlinear magnetic couplings between Fe local moments, while the fe rromagnetism is realized by the atomic size effect.
