Abstract
Melt-spun ribbons of Cu92Co8 are found to exhibit giant magnetoresista nce with a maximum of 17% at 5 K. Magnetization curves at different te mperatures indicate that GMR is due to superparamagnetism of the nanoc rystallized fee Go-rich clusters, and give negative values of the temp erature of order Theta in a Langevin law fit.
