Abstract
Using ion implanted Fe/Cr, Co/Ag and Fe/Co multilayers we demonstrate our sensitivity to identify the different Go-phases as a function of g rowing conditions. The metastable bcc-Co phase is identified, while th e Cr layers are strained bcc, but lose the Cr-bulk magnetism for thick ness below 50 Angstrom.
