Abstract
The magneto-optic (MO) polar-Ken-rotation and ellipticity were studied at room temperature, between 1.5-5.2 eV, for Co-Pt, Co-[CoPd], Co-[Co Pd] and Pt-[CoPt] multilayers grown on Kapton, Si and glass in UHV. Th e MO properties were found to depend on the modulation-layer thickness es. The results were reproduced theoretically in conjunction with the alloying modulations.
