Abstract
The magnitude of giant magnetoresistance (GMR) of the (Co10 Angstrom/C u10 Angstrom)(15) superlattice has been measured up to 20 kbar. It is found that the electrical resistivity rho decreases with increasing pr essure at room temperature, having the rate rho(-1)partial derivative rho/partial derivative P = -22 X 10(-3) kbar(-1). The magnetoresistanc e (MR) ratio Delta rho/rho(s) at 4.2 g slightly decreases with increas ing pressure. The saturation field H-s also decreases with increasing pressure.
