Abstract
Magneto-optical (MO) polar Kerr effect spectra in Ni/Pt multilayers at 80 K show a strong increase in the spectral amplitudes, which exceeds that predicted by the model based on electromagnetic theory. An enhan cement of the Kerr effect is observed at photon energies above 3 eV, s imilar to that in Co/Pt and Fe/Pt.
