Abstract
Magnetic properties of [Fe(40 Angstrom/Eu(x Angstrom)] and [V(40 Angst rom)/Eu(x Angstrom)] (30 < x < 200) multilayers were studied with Moss bauer and magnetization measurements. The Eu-151 Mossbauer spectra at 4.2 K show that the hyperfine fields at the interface Eu sites are red uced in both multilayer systems. Possible origins of the reduction are briefly discussed.
