Abstract
Remagnetization processes were investigated in ultrathin cobalt films with perpendicular anisotropy, after interrupting the magnetization re versal of a saturated sample and applying a large in-plane magnetic fi eld. This study was performed by magnetooptical magnetometry and micro scopy. Drastic differences were observed in magnetic properties depend ing upon the magnetic sample history.
