The optical, electrical and magnetic properties of magnetic Co90Ti10 a
nd nonmagnetic Co17Ti83 films have been investigated. It has been foun
d that within the visible light (wavelengths 4400-6400 Angstrom A) the
films are transparent with thickness less than 700 Angstrom A for mag
netic films and 1000 Angstrom A for nonmagnetic films. This is qualita
tively due to the difference of the magnetic permeability between magn
etic and nonmagnetic films. The temperature at which the electrical re
sistance of the films increases abruptly varies roughly from 690 K for
400 Angstrom A to 1020 K for 3000 Angstrom A.
