The thickness dependence of the coercive field H-c was examined in amo
rphous soft ferromagnetic films of various compositions. H, increases
with decreasing thickness, the highest rate being for Co92Zr7Tb1 films
. This result is explained by the fact that this compound exhibits the
largest random local anisotropy.
