The equilibrium adsorption of benzene and perfluorobenzene vapor from
a flow of moist air by a layer of active carbon (AC) hydrated to equil
ibrium were considered. It was ascertained that these organic substanc
es partly displace the water from the adsorptive micropore volume of A
C. The equilibrium adsorption values of benzene, perfluorobenzene, and
water vapors on AC were calculated. The adsorption of benzene and per
fluorobenzene from a flow of moist air by a layer of AC is characteriz
ed by volume filling of the micropore adsorption space. This work is p
art of the research devoted to the study of the dynamics of the adsorp
tion of organic substances from a flow of moist air by a layer of AC h
ydrated to equilibrium.
