Abstract
Synthesis of 2, 3, 4, 5-tetrahydro-2, 4-disubstituted phenyl-5H[1, 5]- benzothiazepines (2a-e) by the in situ reduction of 2, 3-dihydro-2, 4- disubstituted phenyl-5H[1, 5]-benzothiazepines (3a-e) using o-aminothi ophenol in catalytic amount in acidic ethanol is described.
