Educational activity at the Norwegian Psychoanalytic Institute is outl

lengthy and thorough programme containing a personal analysis, supervi
sion of own work as well as seminars and the writing of a psychoanalyt
ical paper. Other educational and research activities at the Institute
are described. Stress is put on the Institute as a competencecenter a
nd it is shown how this can influence psychiatry both through direct t
eaching and therapeutic activities and as a provider of knowledge.
