Abstract
The main results of studying reaction mechanisms by relaxation methods are presented for SO2 oxidation, o-xylene oxidation to phthalic anhyd ride, and ethylene epoxidation. It is shown that reaction mechanisms c an be efficiently investigated, and qualitative correlations between t he characteristics of catalytic activity and the composition and struc ture of the adsorption layer can be found by combining kinetic methods with physical methods.
