Continuing our previous works, we performed a general analysis of the
joint effect of the catalyst deactivation and intraparticle diffusion
resistance leading to a retardation of the reactions. A significant ef
fect of the mechanism of model reactions under study on the character
of changes in the rate and selectivity of deactivation processes is de
monstrated, with a number of examples proving the fruitfulness of such
an approach. The problems arising and the possibilities and prospects
for further investigations are discussed.
