Abstract
Vapor-liquid equilibria of methanol + hexyl acetate and ethanol + hexy l acetate mixtures were determined at 101.32 kPa. The data were checke d for thermodynamic consistency using Fredenslund's test, correlated u sing Wilson, NRTL, and UNIQUAC equations for the liquid phase activity coefficients, and compared with the predictions of the group contribu tion methods UNIFAC and ASOG.
