Abstract
The decomposition of thiazolidine-4-carboxylic acid (TCA) and its aque ous solutions have been investigated after the action of elevated temp erature and ultra-violet radiation. Simultaneously the tablets of Hepa regene have been subjected to accelerated ageing at elevated temperatu re. Optimum conditions for the separation of decomposition products by thin-layer chromatography have been elaborated. Five decomposition pr oducts have been isolated chromatographically; they have been identifi ed. The mechanism of the decomposition of TCA has been determined.
