Tomographic scanners are classified by various parameters, and two imp
ortant parameters in this process are the geometric resolution and the
contrast resolution. A numerical study has been reported on the appli
cation of certain error estimates for the theoretical error in the tom
ographic inversion formula. This study deals with the experimental asp
ects of those error estimates, and further consolidates the findings o
f the previous work in representing the contrast property by a mathema
tical quantity related to the object cross section.
